Is counseling right for me?

Only you know if counseling is right for you. However, if you are at a place in your life where you feel that additional help or support outside of those closest to you is needed, or that you are not getting the support you need, counseling may be a good place to start. Much of the time, it is helpful to speak with someone who is not directly involved in your personal life. It can help give perspective to the challenges you are facing. Therapy can help many struggles you may be facing in your life, so feel free to give us a call to learn if our services will work for you. We offer services like couples therapy, anxiety treatment, and depression help.

What is counseling like?

Many people have this idea that, if you go to counseling, there must be something wrong with you. That is simply not true. Counseling has been proven to be an effective way for people to process life’s circumstances. It is a safe place to share without judgment.

Are the things we discuss in counseling confidential?

Anything discussed in counseling sessions is confidential. Counseling Services of Parker is a safe place to process your feelings and emotions.

The only exception to the client/counselor confidentiality is in cases where we are mandated reporters. Those areas include when a client is considered a threat to themselves or someone else. If you have any additional questions on the mandated to report areas, please feel free to ask.

How much does counseling cost?

Regular Session (60 minutes): $90

Intake Session (60-75 minutes): $110

Package of 3 Sessions (60 minutes each): $240 (10% savings)

*Sliding Scale May Be Available.

Is insurance accepted at Counseling Services Of Parker?

While Counseling Services of Parker can offer clients documentation to provide to their insurance provider to make a claim, we do not directly work with insurance providers. We do this for a few reasons, and all of them are with our clients’ best interests in mind.

When an insurance provider is involved, they can have a say in the treatment timeframes and treatment goals. Additionally, insurance providers often require an official diagnosis to be reported, and that diagnosis would become a part of the client’s permanent medical record. By leaving insurance out of the equation, you decide your treatment goals and timeframe with your counselor, and you don’t have to fear any diagnosis following you throughout your life.

Can appointments be scheduled on evenings or weekends?

Yes. Counseling Services of Parker offers appointment start times as late as 7:00 pm on weekdays, as well as appointments on Saturdays. There are also appointment slots available weekday mornings and afternoons.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

If an appointment must be canceled or rescheduled, we ask that you let us know no less than 48 hours in advance. This helps us to ensure that all clients are able to come in for counseling in a reasonable time frame. Any cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the full session fee being assessed. However, we do understand emergencies happen and will take that  into consideration when you need to cancel or reschedule late.
